Simon Gaston - Founder and CEO

Simon Gaston is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Venture Capital Advisors Ltd.

Simon has over 25 years of international financial services experience, having held senior executive positions across Africa, the Middle East, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. His career spans investment banking, private banking and corporate and institutional banking, giving him a unique and highly commercial perspective on capital markets, risk and transaction execution.

He has held executive roles at a number of global blue-chip investment banks and has extensive experience advising corporates, institutions and high-net-worth clients across multiple asset classes and jurisdictions. Simon is qualified with the Association of International Bond Dealers and is a member of the Securities Institute.

Prior to founding VCA, Simon served as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Board Member of Barclays in Switzerland, where he led the Private Banking and Wealth Management business.

In 2015, Simon joined Falcon Private Wealth in London, an Abu Dhabi–backed sovereign wealth group, where he was responsible for managing a £2 billion asset management platform as CEO and Executive Board Member.

Alongside building commercially successful, client-focused businesses, Simon has extensive experience in technology, programme delivery and strategic change, having acted as executive sponsor for numerous multi-million-dollar global innovation and technology investments.

Through VCA, Simon brings together his investment, banking and operational expertise to create high-quality investment and financing opportunities for professional investors, ultra-high-net-worth families and their family offices.

Sis Barseghyan - Managing Director

Sis Barseghyan is the Managing Director of Venture Capital Advisors Ltd.

He is primarily responsible for sourcing and executing private equity opportunities, identifying private markets investment solutions for institutional investors, family offices and private investors across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the United States.

Sis leads the development and execution of value creation strategies across the portfolio, including restructuring, repositioning and turnaround situations, and is actively involved at every stage of the transaction lifecycle and ongoing investment management.

Sis began his career at DNB Markets and Barclays Capital, where he held roles in Leveraged Finance and Infrastructure M&A. He later joined Travco Corporation, where he was responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of hotel assets across Europe, the CIS and Russia, and advising on the strategic direction of more than 370 hotel properties.

Most recently, Sis served as Investment Director and Managing Director at BT Invest, where he sourced and executed commercial real estate investments.

He is also the founder of Invista Capital Advisors, an investment firm specialising in the hospitality sector.
